Abraham Lincoln before he was President
Abraham Lincoln the Bartender?
Abraham Lincoln was the only US President ever to be a bartender. Actually he was co-owner of the bar ‘Berry and Lincoln ’ in Springfield , Illinois . The other co-owner was named William Berry. It was very hard for Berry and Lincoln to own a bar together because Berry was an alcoholic and Lincoln preferred not to drink. Berry would actually drink customers’ orders before the customers even got them! In 1843 Lincoln ran for state legislator and won. After his win he gave up the bartending business. By 1840 the bar was abandoned due to Lincoln and his politics and Berry ’s death in 1835.

White Wedding Dress
Queen Victoria and White Wedding Dresses
Queen Victoria was one of the first brides ever to wear a white wedding dress. Prior to her wedding in 1840 white wedding dresses were not typically worn. Many people back in those times couldn’t afford to buy a dress to only wear one time. Brides normally wore colored dresses including black! They wore the best dress they owned. Queen Victoria’s fashion choice at her wedding made a bigger impact than anyone could have imagined. Up until that time royalty typically wore ermine-trimmed robes covered in gemstones at their wedding. Woman of the time saw Queen Victoria ’s white silk gown as a fashion statement and decided to follow her lead. This formed a tradition that last till this very day.

What almost happened in the famous Harry Potter Series
Author J.K. Rowling Almost Killed off Ron Weasley
In the lead up to the release of the last Harry Potter movie. J.K Rowling is revealing a lot of details behind her creative process of writing the Harry Potter novels. One of the most interesting things she has mentioned was that she seriously considered killing of Ron Weasley. She was going to kill him off around the middle of the series. She thought he was complicating the relationship between Harry and Hermione but then realized Ron would be better suited for Hermione in the long run. She also revealed that she considered killing off Hagrid and that Remus Lupin'd death was not planned. Hagrid got spared because a "bookended image of Hagrid carrying a 'dead' harry, just like Hagrid carrying a baby harry stuck in my mind while writing the whole series." Remus Lupin on the other hand was killed because she realized that one of the most terrible things that happens during a war is that sometimes children are left without parents. She thought that killing off a set of parents would show her readers just that.

Luke I am Your Father
Out of all the actors in the Star Wars Movie "The Empire Strikes Back" NONE of them knew That Darth Vader was Lukes father.
During the script reading all the crew were givin a script that had one "fake" line. During the scene where Darth Vader tells Luke he is his father they replaced the famous line, "Luke I am your father", with "Obi-Wan killed your father." The production department didnt want anyone knowing about the realtionship even the cast until the movie was released. This was possible because the actor who played Darth Vader didnt say his lines. They had a man named Prowse, after the scenes were shot, say the lines of Darth Vader. Prowse himself didnt know the true line until minutes before he recorded the final scene. The cast, crew, and world were very surprised when the movie was released and the line was completely changed.

Pepi II: Longest Egyptian Pharaoh
Pepi II Pyramid
Pepi II, to this date the longest serving Egyptian pharaoh in history, serving for 90 years! He has had one of the longest political terms in world history. This all happened because Pepi II became pharaoh when he was only 6 years old! This wasn’t unusual at all during ancient Egyptian times. Pepi II did live to be 100 years old which back then was very rare. In the beginning of his rule, Pepi’s mother, Ankhesenpepi II, most likely controlled the Egyptian empire behind her son. Most statues of Pepi show him sitting in his mother’s lap. He reigned from 2278 BC till 2184 BC.

The Academy Award's Oscar Statue and World War II
During World War II The Oscars Given Out Were Made Of Plaster
Years before World War II Oscars used to be made of bronze but, now the statues are made out of Britannia metal. Britannia Metal is a pewter like alloy that is then plated in copper, nickel, silver, and last, 24 karat gold. Due to a metal shortage in World War II the Academy Awards used painted plaster instead of the bronze for three years until the war was over. Thankfully anyone who received a “fake” Oscar during the war had their Oscar replaced with real ones after the war was over.
Another Interesting Fact About The Oscars:
There was once a rumor going around that at one point in time The Academy Awards gave out Oscars made of wood. This is false for the most part. Only one wooden Oscar has ever been given out in the history of The Academy Awards. This Oscar was given to ventriloquist, Edgar Bergen, in 1938. He received the Oscar for his work with his wooden dummy Charlie McCarthy. The Oscar actually had a moving mouth just like a ventriloquist dummy!

SponeBob Squarepants and The Seven Deadly Sins
The Main Characters In The Childrens Show SpongeBob Square Pants Were Inspired By The Seven Deadly Sins.
LUST- SpongeBob
Most people think of lust as in a sexual sense but, in reality the definition of lust is "a passionate desire for something." With this definition SpongeBob has a lust for everything life has to offer him. He strives for the affection of both his friends and enemies. He is eager to please everyone and will do whatever it takes to complete a task that was giving to him.
GLUTTONY- Gary
People who have watched a lot of the show will have noticed a number of jokes about SpongeBob having to remember to feed his pet snail. Gary doesn’t do a lot except eat and meow. The only reason he really meows is due to the fact that he is hungry. In many episodes Gary has been left unfed and has either found alternative food sources and ate way too much to where he became really fat or he ripped apart furniture. This shows that when Gary is left alone he would do nothing but eat.
Wrath- Squidward
Squidward has no problem showing his outlook on life to everyone, which so happens to be a very negative outlook, whether it be how much he hates his job or how he despises his two troublesome neighbors. He is shown as a general failure who cannot acknowledge his own personal flaws and failures. This constant self denial turns into a sarcastic sense of humor and resentment toward the world that doesn’t appreciate his creativity.
PRIDE- Sandy
Sandy Cheeks is a squirrel from Texas, this alone is a prime example of her self pride. She is very proud of her heritage and takes a great deal of satisfaction in being the only land animal living in Bikini Bottom. She is generally a good natured animal, she is quick to go off about the greatness of Texas or to show off her athletic skills in a karate match or a weightlifting contest.
SLOTH- Patrick
Patrick is the laziest animal living in Bikini Bottom. He lives under a rock and spends the majority of his time there. In one episode he was actually given an award for doing absolutely nothing, and to keep his title going he went right back under his rock.
ENVY- Plankton
A easy character to compare to one of the sins. Plankton owns a struggling restaurant called “The Chum Bucket” and is consumed with the desire to achieve the success of Mr. Krabs. With all of the wealth and good fortune of the rival restaurant The Krusty Krab(Mr. Krabs), The Chum Bucket(Plankton) has had a equal amount of hard luck and failure. His life goal is to steal the Krabby Patty formula from Mr. Krabs and drive The Krusty Krab out of business.
GREED- Mr. Krabs
This is the easiest comparison that can be made. The greed Mr. Krabs is made strikingly clear throughout the show. He is always thinking of ways to make a buck, even if it includes taking advantage of his friends or putting them in dangerous situations.
