Out of all the actors in the Star Wars Movie "The Empire Strikes Back" NONE of them knew That Darth Vader was Lukes father.
During the script reading all the crew were givin a script that had one "fake" line. During the scene where Darth Vader tells Luke he is his father they replaced the famous line, "Luke I am your father", with "Obi-Wan killed your father." The production department didnt want anyone knowing about the realtionship even the cast until the movie was released. This was possible because the actor who played Darth Vader didnt say his lines. They had a man named Prowse, after the scenes were shot, say the lines of Darth Vader. Prowse himself didnt know the true line until minutes before he recorded the final scene. The cast, crew, and world were very surprised when the movie was released and the line was completely changed.
Oh wow! Now that's something I never would have guessed.
ReplyDeleteYou failed to mention that the actor playing Luke knew about the line change or he
ReplyDeleteclould not act correctly to it. I saw a story about this on TV. He was one of
the few that knew the true line that would go there.
Prowse was the actor in the suit, the voiceover was provided by James Earl Jones
